Mona is a recent graduate of UC Berkeley where she studied cognitive science. She is originally from Southern California, but has enjoyed her last 4 years in the Bay and her half a year stint living in Copenhagen, Denmark during her study abroad. During her college career, Mona worked in the Computation of Language Laboratory and the Gopnik Cognitive Development Laboratory as an undergraduate research assistant. While she one day hopes to go to graduate school, she is very excited to join the Kiva Fellow and Intern Programs team at this stage of her life. She has been a Kiva lender since 2011 and is excited to help support the operations of a community she has long been a part of. In her free time, Mona likes to go to concerts, travel, eat good food, play with dogs that aren't hers, and be the only one in her friend group to like baseball.
