Thanks to everyone who attended the party last night in San Francisco. We had a great time meeting everyone, some who we'd previously "met" in the world of the internet, some who were supporters we hadn't met before, some who just wanted to find out more about Kiva.org. 

In all, we raised over $2,500 for Kiva.org - thanks to YOU! - and we had a great party until 2am. 

Thanks to everyone who came, everyone who helped organize the event, and everyone who's been supporting Kiva.org to help us get this far.

We are delighted to announce our newest partner, Women's Initiative to Eradicate Poverty (WITEP), operating in Uganda. 

WITEP is a non-government, community-based organization formed to alleviate poverty and improve the standard of living for the poor women of Uganda. Their objective is to mobilize and sensitize people in grassroots projects, focusing in food production and food security. Advocating for programmes that encourage the emancipation of women and youth, they provide for exchange of professional ideas and skills acquisition on social, political, and economic development...
