Guess who dropped by the office yesterday?

None other than CA First Lady Maria Shriver, who came by to visit and say "Hi" to the Kiva team!

Maria was in town to launch WE Invest, a Women's Economic Empowerment Initiative, in Oakland.

We were really honored to meet The First Lady, and that she gave some time out of her day to meet the Kiva team. Come again anytime!

Reuters recently picked up a story published by IRIN, titled "UGANDA: More Kenyan displaced arriving at refugee centres."
A man by the name of Danson Ng'ang'a was interviewed in the story. A past Kiva Fellow noticed the interview in the article, and suspected the man interviewed was a Kiva borrower he met in Kenya. Kiva has contacted the journalist, who confirmed that the identity of the man is indeed Kiva borrower Danson Ng'ang'a, a dairy farmer operating out of Malaba - Teso District, Kenya.

Kiva.org will really be appearing on The Today Show tomorrow, December 27, between 8am and 9am in each local timezone (exact airing time not known.)
