Kiva Fellows 18th Class
Muskan spent the first eighteen years of her life in five different cities in India, making her appreciate and seek out new cultural experiences from a young age. After graduating from New York University in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in Economics, she worked as a product manager at Bloomberg. Bloomberg being a highly philanthropic organization, she found herself spending most of her free time working with at-risk youth in low-income schools in New York. As a board member of two non-profits focused on mentoring high school students, she was able to get first-hand experience on running socially-driven institutions. After discovering her passion for social enterprise, she joined Columbia Business School in 2011 to grow her academic and practical knowledge. With her last year remaining in school, she is excited to join a non-profit consulting program run by students and assist her peers who are starting social businesses.
