Calling all lending teams -- Join the Nelson Mandela Day Challenge!
Nelson Mandela gave 67 years of his life to service and sacrifice. To honor him on Mandela Day, July 18, we’re challenging Kiva lending teams to make 67 loans OR recruit 67 new members in celebration of his life and work.

How it works:

During the 67 hours leading up to and during Mandela Day, lending teams are challenged to recruit 67 new members or make 67 new loans and attribute them to their team. We’ll be tracking progress here at Kiva HQ, and when a team hits the 67 mark, we’ll recognize you by tweeting to our 470,000 followers about your success with a link to your team's page! (And CEO Matt Flannery will do the same to his 312,000 followers!)

The challenge will run from 5 a.m PST on Monday, July 16 to midnight PST on Thursday, July 19. When the challenge ends, we’ll write a blog post highlighting and thanking all of the teams that reached one or both of our Mandela Day Challenge goals!

Have questions? Send them on over to blog@kiva.org.
