Kiva is now officially on Twitter, and we need your help

May 13, 2009

Kiva recently gained ownership of the official "kiva" name on Twitter, and we want to let people know where they can find us! To help get the message out, we're launching a campaign this Friday the 15th as part of "Follow Friday." For those not familiar, "Follow Friday" is a trend on the micro-blogging service Twitter where people recommend other users on Twitter that are worth Following. We'd like you to recommend us to your friends this Friday, to help Kiva gain more traction in the Twitter community!

How do you do this?

It's simple...this Friday the 15th post a message to your twitter accounts recommending that people follow "@kiva" and include the tag "followfriday." This tag is what lets everyone else on Twitter know that your message is a Follow Friday recommendation, so be sure to include it. Here's an example of what to use:

"Check out @kiva the world's first person-to-person micro-lending website alleviating poverty through empowering entrepreneurs #followfriday"
