Kiva Fellows 18th Class
David was driven to join the Kiva Fellows team by his enthusiasm for microfinance, his affinity for learning about new cultures and his desire to take this motivation to the ground to help the world’s best and brightest lift themselves out of poverty. After graduating from UCLA with a B.A. in International Economics and Political Science, David spent two years working at the Inter-American Development Bank, financing development projects with trust funds donated by governments, foundations, companies and the Bank itself.  Watching the economies of the developing world expand from his office, David gained the desire to take his service to the communities themselves and do his part to ensure that this expansion apply to the greatest number possible.David is currently serving in his second Fellowship in Guatemala, after a first in the Dominican Republic, and will begin an MA program in International Relations at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in the fall.
