The MasterCard Foundation works with visionary organizations to provide greater access to education, skills training and financial services for people living poverty, primarily in Africa. As one of the largest, private foundations, its work is guided by its mission to advance learning and promote financial inclusion to create an inclusive and equitable world. Based in Toronto, Canada, its independence was established by MasterCard when the Foundation was created in 2006,

Support of $1 million or more

The Diller-von Furstenberg Family Foundation aims to positively impact the world by improving people's lives and strengthening communities. The Foundation is proud to partner with Kiva on their Loan Matching program to help provide people with opportunities for which they would not otherwise have access. 

Omidyar Network awarded a $5 million grant over 5 years, earmarked for developing Kiva's technology platform, expanding its network of field partners, and supporting due diligence and monitoring capabilities across Kiva's growing portfolio. As part of this grant, Omidyar Network matches up to $3.6 million of online and offline donations from individual Kiva supporters.
